Welcome back to our Round 2 of Erenor Eternal coverage, Adventurers! This week’s topic is everything items! We’ve got some big changes coming to our crafting, and plenty of adjustments to the Regrade system to boot!
Before we can dive into any of the specific Regrade changes or how Erenor item crafting works, there need to be a few ground rules laid down on how the crafting system itself has changed. Many of these improvements have been made with the ArcheAge community’s requests in mind, and the make crafting less reliant on the dreaded force of ArcheAge: RNG. The team’s goal has been to simplify crafting from its current form.
Overall, we can break down these changes into three categories: Tiers of items have been removed, crafted items are now cloaked to reduce RNG, salvaging items no longer provides mana wisps.
First, the lower ranked Craftsman, Artisan, and Conqueror tiers have been removed from the game. Overall, this will reduce the amount of tiers of items that exist in the game, giving players a straighter path towards end-game crafted loot.
If you own one of these items and are worried if you can still upgrade them, you can! The Crafting Folio will have special recipes for these times come 3.5, so you’ll be able to move them up into the next available tier without issue. This conversion process does come with a cost depending on what tier you are at, so keep your money in mind.
As seen in the Obsidian crafting system, Cloaked Items allow you to choose what upgrade comes out of them. Now, instead of begging RNGesus for that Ocean proc, you can choose what element blesses your weapon or armors upon uncloaking the item. Specific elements are no longer required for higher grades either.
Instead, required elements are replaced by required regrade levels. To upgrade to the next tier, make sure the item is at the appropriate grade noted below and re-cloak your item by making a Transmuter. It will be used in the crafting process to create the next tier.
Once an item is upgraded, its grade will be set to Basic, so keep that in mind before upgrading!
Wisps are completely retired from the game and can be converted into Archeum Crystals as of Erenor Eternal. Their conversion chart is below:
For Obsidian Crafting, wisps have also been replaced by corresponding amounts of Archeum.
Salvage Forges have been removed from the game. If you are a Salvage Forge owner, you can either convert your forge to a Thunderstruck Tree, sell it to a Merchant for 15 gold, or keep it to remember the good ‘ol days where wisps were king and you had to RNG your way up a hill, both ways!
As noted in our Producer’s Letter, Erenor Eternal introduces a brand new grade of item into the game: Eternal. Eternal sits above Mythic, and it is the highest enchantment an item can receive.
Regrade difficulties have also been added to the game, making some types of items easier to regrade while others are “harder.” Harder is in quotes because almost all grades have a higher success chance than pre-Erenor Eternal rates, even the “hard” path. Only a few grades in the hard path break from this convention.
For those who regrade Ship and Mount Accessories, you’ll be able to use charms during your regrade process.
The Regrade window in-game will also now display the chance you have at succeeding in any given regrade. That’s right – no more bland arrows! So, to celebrate, ArcheAge’s base regrade rates (no resplendents, no charms) as of Update 3.5, Erenor Eternal have been listed below. #WeDidItFam
Easy Regrade Path – Dungeon Items or Quest Items
Normal Regrade Path – Basic crafted equipment, all equipment not caught by other categories
Hard Regrade Path – Obsidian Items, Raid Boss Items
Ship & Mount Accessories
Last but certainly not least: Erenor crafting! This new pinnacle of ArcheAge gear works a bit differently than the gear that preceded it. Instead of regrading like normal, Erenor gear requires you to sacrifice previously crafted gear in order to move up in enchantment grades. Each piece sacrificed gives a specific amount of experience to your item. Once the experience bar is full, it will level up to the next grade.
Higher grades unlock additional stats for your item, increasing its usefulness and efficiency.
Good news for those of you who keep an eye on the Korean server: Our version of Erenor Eternal is launching with the improved power rank and experience changes from the Erenor gear revision. You won’t have to wait for a later patch to enjoy those improvements!
As noted above, you’ll need a cloaked Ayanad item of at least Divine rank as the base of your Erenor item. You’ll also need…
Once your Erenor item exists, leveling it up requires you to offer it other items in tribute.
Different items provide different amounts of experience, as noted below. This experience value will be improved by 10% for each grade it is above basic, so it does pay to gain some grades on an item before offering it as tribute.
Once your Erenor item reaches a higher tier, you cannot use any item that’s a lower grade as a tribute. For example, if your Erenor item is Unique, you must offer an item that’s Unique grade or higher as tribute. Basic, Grand, Rare, Arcane, and Heroic won’t work.
Erenor Item Experience Requirements
Crafted Item Tribute Offerings (Basic Grade)
Obsidian Items (Basic Grade)
Boss Items (Basic Grade)
Dungeon Items (Basic Grade)
Erenor items can also be equipped with special lunastones that will assign the item an elemental affinity. Wearing multiple items with the same elemental affinity will trigger set bonuses that become progressively better with more of the same element equipped in your Erenor items. These stones are expensive to craft, but worth the cost.
Did you have enough? Of course you didn’t! Make sure to see these systems in action each week on our Friday livestreams (starting at 1:30 PM PDT on http://www.twitch.tv/trionworlds) and keep an eye out for a new spotlight article on the website every Thursday leading up to Erenor Eternal’s launch on June 7!

When crafting new armor or weapons from scratch it makes sense to craft tier 2 over and over until you get a rare quality item to use as your.
Equipment refers to any item that can be placed in an equipment slot.
ArcheAge uses the standard color quality system found in most modern MMOs, however it has been greatly expanded compared to the standard.
Notes: Based on data from Archeage Database . All percentages refer to the basic quality.
There are 3 types of armor in the game, usable by any character:
Each armor type grants a different balance of attributes. Plate offers high physical defense, Cloth offers high magical defense, and Leather offers a mix of both.
Each armor piece fits in one of 7 slots:
Each armor type offers bonuses for wearing that armor type. The bonus is gained when 4 of your equipment is of one type and is upgraded to a strong buff when all 7 are the same type.
See Armor for more information and items.
Read more at Weapons. Any class can equip any type of weapon, but be cautious as all weapon types do not offer stats that will benefit all classes.

Crafted Gear: The main line of gear that evolves from Illustrious through Erenor . There is nothing wrong with using Old Obsidian Gear, if it suits your needs.
Lets be honest for a moment here, someone who has never played an mmo or archeage all together isnt going to end up here alone, they'll be playing with someone, that someone can easily tell the person why its this way here, and prevent wall of tears like we are seeing.
You mention having a hard time in Auroria at lvl 52 with ur auroria gears, and NEEDING to get llvl 55... but the fact is you couldnt kill more shit at lvl 55 after planting trees than before, your gearscore stayed the same, level didnt help. Again, irrelevant point.
Someone at lower level shoudnt worry about baits indeed, as I said in the past, thats mainly for alts, you dont need 4-5 hours/day to reach 52 with quests and grinding, thats like 6-8 hours in itself max with all the consumables the server throw at you. Also, the 100% tonics drop from the daily 1-14 day chest, which can all be opened in ur first 15 mins of the game, again, false informations.
So yeh, basically some content is locked behind.. 8 hours MAX of playing, which isnt hard, and need to be done once only
I think that's been obvious from the beginning. Back in Alpha, the gear that you crafted or picked up from drops was all you got. Anyone can.
